Construction has begun on a new soybean processing plant in Casselton, North Dakota, U.S. town. Local media report this. The total amount of investment attracted for the project is about $400 million (more than 23.9 billion rubles). According to preliminary forecasts, the company will be supplied with soybeans from agricultural producers whose farms are located within a 60-mile radius of the oil production facility.

The oil plant will process more than 42.5 million oilseed bushels annually for continued oil production and meal production.

North Dakota is a national leader in soybean production, said Senator Kevin Kramer, and the addition of a new facility in the region will expand the market, benefiting local oilseed farmers.

“The concerted action of state creates facilities like this, local and industry leaders working together to show that North Dakota is a great place to do business, ” Cramer said.

It is noted that North Dakota Soy Processors, LLC, will own the company. The oil production facility is scheduled to begin operations in 2024.
