First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrey Belousov approved the meeting minutes of the Subcommittee on Tariff and Non-Tariff Regulation, Protective Measures in Foreign Trade of the Government Commission on Economic Development and Integration.

“The subcommittee approved the decision on a temporary ban (from September 1, 2022, for six months) on the export of rapeseed (except for export through checkpoints in the Trans-Baikal Territory),” the department said in a statement.

The department stressed that the maintenance of the restrictive measure would encourage the processing and selling oilseeds in Russian oil production facilities.

Recall that the ban on exports of sunflower and rapeseed from Russia has been in force since April 1 this year.
