Dried Apricot; A Significant Increase in the Export of Iranian Jumbo Dried Apricot in February

The export rate of various types of Iranian Jumbo Dried Apricot and dried apricot has increased by more than 165 percent in February compared to January 2022. It has also increased by more than 55 percent compared to February 2021.

According to Iran customs statistics, the export rate of various types of Iranian Jumbo Dried Apricot and dried apricot was 170 tons worth 398.000 USD in February 2022. The average price of the mentioned crops has been 2,34 USD per kilogram this month.

The export rate of Iranian Jumbo Dried Apricot and dried apricot in February has a significant increase in February 2022 compared to the month before. This year, 64 tons of these products worth 143.000 USD were exported from Iran in January. Compared to the month before, the export rate has increased by 165 percent in terms of weight and 178 percent in terms of export value in February 2022. The end of the Chinese New Year holidays and the start of exports to this country are the most important reasons for an increase in exports in February.

Also, the export rate has grown in February 2022 compared to the same period last year. In February 2021, 110 tons of Jumbo Dried Apricot and dried apricot worth 223.000 USD were exported from Iran. The export rate of the mentioned products has risen by 55 percent in terms of weight and by 78 percent in terms of export value in February this year compared to last year.

Increasing the quality of available products this year is the main reason for growing the export rate in February, which increased demands and raised the price of this product in February this year compared to February last year. The average price of Iranian Jumbo Dried Apricot and dried apricot has gone up by more than 15 percent in February this year compared to the same time last year. It has reached 2,34 USD per kilogram from 2,03 USD. During the last month, the cost of various types of Iranian Jumbo Dried Apricot and dried apricot has risen in global markets due to increased domestic demand, which is because of the New Iranian Year holidays.
