Odesa: Oilseeds market in Ukraine is waiting for sunflower harvest – the dominant crop for the country. Meanwhile, during last month we could watch continuous price increase for rapeseeds. And buyers seemed to forget about flaxseeds. Actually, the old crop has finished, new crop offers seldom appeared in the market, and flaxseeds purchase price even started to decrease.
But this week, traders woke up realising that the new crop is already very close. Purchasing price showed unprecedented growth – 100 $/t during one weekend. Flaxseeds CPT price in ports went up from 500 $/t to 600$/t and supported the general oilseeds market increase.
