Peas prices in Ukraine are under pressure.

ODESA: In MY 2021/22, Ukrainian peas, as usual, face competition in the world market from their Russian counterpart. But the situation in Russia and all over the world is not as good as was forecasted. Prices are showing constant growth, and offers are minimal.

This week Ukrainian yellow peas purchase price in ports reached 280 $/t level on a CPT basis. Green peas had even bigger price growth – from 270 $/t two weeks ago to 360 $/t today. Buyers are not very active in the market, expecting price stabilisation.  But farmers do not hurry to get rid of their peas stocks, choosing to sell wheat now. Considering holidays in some Asian countries this week and their low activity, we shouldn’t expect big changes till Monday.
