Sultana Raisins: What Can Happen? MANISA:Exports are proceeding on an average tempo while the markets are very calm

On the other hand, the effect of the war between Russia and Ukraine can be felt in Manisa because more than 70% of the fresh grapes grown and exported in the Manisa region are exported to Russia and Ukraine. Grape is Manisa’s most important source of agricultural income, and its annual production value is more than 3 billion USD. A significant part of the grapes produced are exported, and the remaining ones are dried and used as raisins. In case of problems in the export of fresh grapes, it may be possible that the amount of dried raisins will increase, so the question of what can, in that case, happen is discussed these days among the growers.
Today the Usd/TL rate was noted at 14.36 TL (13.81 last week) and Euro/TL rate at 15.64 TL levels (15.51 last week).

Turkey’s total exports range at 133.942 mt until March 5, 2022, which was 124.558 mt last year during the same period. Turkey exported 3.639 mt of sultana raisins last week, being 3330 mt during the same week of the previous Season.
