ODESA: Ukrainian Grain Association experts expect 50-60 million tons of grain in Ukraine this year. If there are 50 million tons, it is half as much as last year. But it is more than enough for Ukraine. They can keep half of it within the country, and export the other half abroad.

The most difficult situation with harvesting is, in particular, in the Kharkiv region and Donetsk region, because these are the regions where the front line passes. Many agricultural enterprises there were destroyed as a result of Russian shelling. And those who survived face a number of difficulties with logistics and lack of facilities for storing.

In the central regions of Ukraine this year the weather was dry, so the harvest was half less than last year. In addition, Ukraine lost all grain from the regions that came under occupation after February 24th. The grain is delivered from there to Russia and occupied Crimea.
