KYIV – The Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine informs that in 2021 Ukrainian farmers have already harvested 1.4 million tonnes of early grain and legumes.
In particular, in Dnipro, Zaporizhia, Mykolaiv, Odesa, Kherson and Poltava regions, agrarians began harvesting early grain and leguminous crops. The harvest was carried out on an area of 370 thousand hectares (2% of the forecast). The average yield is 3,71 tons/ha, including:
Winter barley – 265 thousand hectares (11% to the forecast) with a yield of 3.93 tons/ha;
Winter wheat – 103 thousand hectares (2% to the forecast) with a yield of 3.15 tons/ha,
In fact, most of the harvested areas are in the Kherson region – 20% of the forecast with a yield of 34 tons/ha. However, the highest average yield is in the Poltava region – 5.34 tons/ha.
