Chinese Buckwheat kernel: Severe drought in some producing areas

DALIAN: ShanxiShaanxi, Gansu, and Ningxia are suffering from severe drought conditions. The growth of new buckwheat is not good, and some plots have died of drought, and the expected reduction in production continues to increase.

Farmers are reluctant to sell old grains at the grassroots level, and grain holders have raised the prices, which is positive support for the price of domestic buckwheat. Before the end of the month, focus on changes in the rainfall in the producing areas, the growth of new grains, and the mentality of market entities. There is no risk of falling prices for old buckwheat before the drought eases.

Wuchuan and Baotou new grains will be listed on or around August 25, when foreign grain merchants and factories may concentrate their purchases.
