The Indian Subcontinent is expecting a bountiful brown crop this year, and the raisin quality is set to be even better than last year. The crop size has increased due to unseasonal weather conditions such as rain, wind, and hailstorms, almost matching last year’s yield.

Favorable weather, better quality

The pressure is on, and arrivals are anticipated to start in the 3rd or 4th week of May. The favorable weather conditions in both Sangli and Nasik regions have raised expectations for an even better crop quality and size compared to last year. The crop size has increased due to unseasonal weather conditions such as rain, wind, and hailstorms, almost matching last year’s yield.

And if the weather continues to cooperate, the Golden and Green crop sizes are also expected to be significant. However, this may reduce the crop size of Malayar and Brown Raisins. It’s expected to experience a 10-20% decrease in Nasik, Sangli, and Green, while Malayar and Brown will remain stable or gain by 5-10%.
