How are reports created?
Our reports are produced with AI support and reviewed by our international editorial team before publication. Market data, price levels and trade developments are checked against the sources they come from; no report goes live without a human release.
Where does the data come from?
Price levels come from three kinds of source. Futures and exchange quotations: CBOT, ICE, Euronext/MATIF, and regionally NCDEX, Bursa Malaysia and Dalian. Official statistics and government releases: USDA (including FAS/GATS), Conab, Statistics Canada and Agriculture Canada, the FAO, and national press offices such as India's PIB. Physical market reporting: Indian mandi quotations and offers gathered by our correspondents in producing regions, supplemented by trade services such as UkrAgroConsult and IGrain. Which sources a report draws on depends on the commodity; the report names them where it matters.
Who writes the reports?
A team across three locations: Commodity Board Europe in Hamburg, Commodity Board India in Rajkot, and Commodity Board Polska. Research and market analysis, field reporting, data analysis and content strategy are separate roles. Names, positions and contact details for the whole team are on our contact page.
How do you handle mistakes?
We correct errors as soon as we become aware of them. Substantive corrections are marked in the article itself with the date of the change, so readers can see what was altered and when. Please report anything that looks wrong to michael.guetlich@cmb-hamburg.com.
Do you use artificial intelligence?
Yes, as a tool. Drafting and translation into our eleven languages are AI-supported. Editorial responsibility stays with our team: every report is read and released by a person, and that release is what makes it publishable.
Who is responsible for the content?
Commodity Board Europe GmbH, Pestalozzistr. 25, 22305 Hamburg, Germany. Full company details are in our imprint.
