MUMBAI: Prices of turmeric were stable in the major markets of the country.
The demand for turmeric was steady, and supply from the primary sources was moderately better. Warangal and Kesamudram markets reported more than usual and good quality arrivals of turmeric.
The arrival of turmeric in Nizamabad mandi stood at 2.000 bags, Duggirala mandi – 500, Warangal mandi-1.200 bags, Kesamudram mandi 1.500 bags, Erode 2.500 bags, Hingoli 10.000 bags and Nanded mandi 3.500 bags.
Turmeric prices were quoted at $1182/ton for Salem, $1037/ton for Dubai quality and $1077/ton for European quality.
