Production has been calculated as a sum product of DES Area “Field Based Yield Data. Highest Summer Sesame Yield has been recorded in Gir Summuth district and lowest in Amreli District.
It has been observed that in the Surendranagar district, there has been a reduction in summer Sesame acreage by almost 45% compared to last year. So the farmers were able to manage their farms judiciously with an optimal amount of irrigation and fertilizers. Thus the yield in this district can be attributed to the better management practices.

As per Govt statistics total, Gujarat, Groundnut sowing area was 60,800 Ha. But from the field, it was found that 20% of summer Groundnut area has been reduced in Bhavnagar as they have changed their cropping pattern.
