INDIA: Coriander’s price had been on a significant rise till April. However, since the beginning of this month, the trend has been bearish for spice.

Current Scenario

The spot markets remained the same in Gujarat during the last week. The spot markets of Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan remained bearish, around  $1,29 – $1,93 per kg. In Ramganj and Guna spot market, the price remained subdued near $1,29 per kg.

Arrival

Even on Monday, the market for coriander remained the same everywhere, with a low subscription. The arrivals in the mandis areas are average. The situation is like this because everyone buys goods according to their need and not in a stocking phase.

The farmers of Rajasthan are doing limited selling of coriander. It is due to the price not being up to the expected range. As a result, news of the arrival of about 4.000 sacks of coriander was received in Ramganj Mandi, and the price remained at the same level a day earlier.

Spot Market Price

Coriander Badami improved by $1,29 to $1,54 per kg due to a bit increase in buying by the stockists. Earlier, the futures fell nominally by $0,10 or 0,07 percent to $1,47 per kg due to subdued positions by speculators.

Prediction

There is no prospect of improving coriander prices in the spot in the coming day or two. Hence the advice of the market experts is to keep monitoring the current situation and keep trading in coriander seeds as they think fit.

According to market experts next few days, there won’t be much improvement in the price of coriander, and it will remain within a limited range.
