German corn feed, EXW Drentwede, has firmed to roughly EUR 292/t, up about 4–5% from late July levels near EUR 280/t, reflecting a steady grind higher over the past three weeks.
French FOB corn around Paris trades near EUR 240/t, slightly below German inland levels once logistics are considered, while Ukrainian FOB/Odesa feed corn remains deeply discounted near the equivalent of EUR 165–170/t but is largely theoretical given severe export disruptions and high risk premia for Black Sea shipments.

The key driver in August is logistics rather than field conditions. Russian strikes have effectively re-blocked the main Odesa-area ports, forcing Ukraine to rely on Danube and land routes that can cover only about half of former Black Sea volumes, sharply reducing export capacity.
As a result, Ukrainian inland and border prices are under pressure, but delivered EU corn faces higher freight and risk costs. Analysts and Ukrainian officials warn that agricultural exports in the 2026/27 season could fall by more than half from prior expectations, intensifying competition for EU and especially German demand that previously relied on seaborne Black Sea supplies.
