This week chilli market opened at a steady price. While on the other hand, last week, the chilli market was closed at $ 2,26 per kg FOB, and this week prices are also the same. It is also estimated that Teja quality is lower this year because of unseasonal rainfall at the times of maturity stage. This is further supporting the chilli prices notwithstanding higher production. The assumptions depending on the export demand will make prices move further. Compared to last year, chilli prices are lower, and because of that, the buyers are active. The Teja quality is in good demand, and the other varieties will have the same effect if Teja variety prices decrease.
