It has been predicted that the price of coriander seed will remain firm in the coming days because of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions and local destination markets opening. Also, the arrival of festivals has impacted the rise in demand for spice, which will help keep the prices stable in the market.

It has been reported that there was a steady rise in coriander prices in the last few weeks, which was between 8 and 10 per cent. The upward trend in coriander price resulted from less arrival of the spiced stock due to the heavy rain in the major markets across India.

However, due to the lack of demand for coriander in the international market and the concern of not getting a profitable sale, it is expected that farmers might switch to sowing another profitable crop instead of coriander for the next season. This move can result in less acreage production of coriander for the next season.

Coriander Prices for Egle 5 per cent split quality are $10,55 per kg FOB.
