The world’s largest port, Ningbo, shuts down a container terminal as a worker in the Chinese port tests positive for Covid-19. In the event of another outbreak, consequences could be far worse than Yantian; an analyst tells ShippingWatch.
Its too soon to ring the alarm bell , but if its shuts down it could trigger the new chaos in the global supply chain. Right now there is a major pressure, as all the Christmas goods are being picked up from China, and those good can not be shipped due to lock down, it could create panic among importers .
