Raisin: Exports of 63,000 tons of Iranian raisins during the last six months

More than 63,000 tons of raisins worth about 81,500,000 USD have been exported from Iran in the last six months. The most important destinations for Iranian raisins were Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Germany during this period. Sixty-three thousand three hundred ninety-two tons of raisins worth 81,508,000 USD have been exported from Iran from March 21st,2021, to September 22nd,2021. The average Price of Iranian raisins for export has been 1.29 USD per kilogram during this period. Exports have increased by more than 30 per cent compared to the same period last year.

The most types of raisins exported during this period were Sultana, which exported 37,542 tons worth 41,377,000 USD (average Price of 1.1 USD per kilogram). After Sultana, the highest export of Iranian raisins was related to the Golden raisins with 21,293 tons worth 33,781,000 USD (average Price of 1.59 USD per kilogram). Then, Green raisins with 1,645 tons worth 2,800,000 USD (average cost of 1.7 USD per kilogram) and Sun-Dried raisins with 890 tons worth 974,000 USD (average Price of 1.09 USD per kilogram) has had the highest rate of export.

In the last six months, the most important destinations for Iranian raisins are Turkey, UAE, Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Afghanistan, and Germany. The number of Iranian raisins exported to Turkey was 9,325 tons worth 12,348,000 USD. The amount of export to other destinations of this product is as follows: 7,751 tons worth 11,580,000 USD to the United Arab Emirates, 7,232 tons worth 11,178,000 USD to Iraq, 7,079 tons worth 7,933,000 USD to Russia, 5,301 tons worth 6,349,000 USD to Kazakhstan, 2,626 tons worth 3,041,000 USD to Ukraine, 1,533 tons worth 1,696,000 USD to Afghanistan, and 1,052 tons worth 1,150,000 USD.

Prices of Iranian raisins for export have increased in the international markets compared to last month due to increased export demand for this crop in the world markets. Compared to the previous month, the Price of Golden raisins for export has increased by about 13 per cent, the Prices of Sultana raisins in the world markets has risen by about 10.5 per cent, the Price of Sun-Dried raisins has gone up by about 7.5 per cent, and the Price of Green raisins for export has increased by about 3 per cent.
