As raisins approach the end of the season, prices continue to rise. The cold weather and frost that took effect over the weekend caused vineyards in some parts to be badly affected. Although it does not seem to affect the total harvest, damage detection studies have started by the district ministry of agriculture. It will be clear in the coming days how the prices, which are currently high due to the scarcity of raw materials, will be after the frost damage assessment.

Tariş announced that it will announce the advance purchase prices of grapes for the new season on August 1. He said that yield studies will be carried out on the lands in April and May and that he will also direct his member farmers to grow grapes in separate categories as fresh grapes and raisins. He also announced that they promised to pay 5 TL difference per kg to their partners and that this will be done before Eid al-Adha. Although this is good news for farmers, the fact that cost prices are still high due to the Dollar-Euro exchange rate causes farmers not to reduce the price of raw materials. What the prices will be like after the March 31 local elections will be determined in the first week of April.

During the period of 01.09.2023-27/03/2024 week, 7.360,152 tonnes of crop 2023 raisins were exported, total price is 12.589.875,61 $ and average rate is 1,711$ per mt.
