Market players stated that the raw material prices drop even though there is not much product left anymore. Raw material prices vary between 70-75 TL/kg.
The demands are still poor while the sales started very well at the beginning of the season. This raises the question of whether the price decreases will continue. Weather conditions are still very favorable.
Another issue is that due to the war between Ukraine and Russia, the fulfillment of contracts with buyers in those countries is a different problem and is expressed as a new question mark. Exporters do not expect these problems to be solved within the short future.
Apricot and apricot products exports are weekly lower than last year. Turkey exported 57.311 mt so far, which was 57.289 mt last year during the same period. Last week’s exports were with 1.164 mt apricots again less than the exports of 1.503 mt during the same week of the previous year.
