Turkish dried apricot exporters have had a good season. Exporters reported that there is no raw material available anymore for export purposes. That is why there is a big difference in price offers nowadays as the product is very scarce. The harvest of the new crop for fresh sales has started this week in Malatya. The conditions for the harvest are very favorable. The new crop size will be announced by Mid June. It is, however, been stated that the export prices for the new crop are not expected to be cheaper. The current export price offer for type no. 1 varies between 4000 and 4300 USD/mt on a FOB basis. Prices for the new crop will be available after the crop announcement. Turkey exported from the beginning of the actual season until last week 79.724 mt, which was 88.279 mt in the same period of the last season. [/swpm_protected]
