Harvesting of Grains and Oilseeds Continues in Ukraine

ODESA: As of September 22, harvesting in Ukraine was carried out on 6.787 million hectares (61% of the planned), from which 26.1 million tons of grain were harvested. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy of Ukraine.

In terms of crops at the reporting date, the harvesting progress is as follows:

wheat – 4.7 million hectares (99%), 19.2 million tons;
barley – 1.6 million hectares (100%), 5.5 million tons;
peas – 109.4 thousand hectares (98%), 250.7 thousand tons;
corn – 20.9 thousand hectares (0.5%), 99.2 thousand tons;
buckwheat – 47.2 thousand hectares (40%), 58.5 thousand tons;
millet –  28.8 thousand hectares (64%), 68.1 thousand tons.

In addition, the harvesting of oilseeds continues. Thus, sunflower harvested territories are 672 thousand hectares (14%), from which farmers got 1.294 million tons of seeds. Soybeans were harvested on 97.7 thousand hectares (6%), and 228 thousand tons were received.
