NEW DELHI – No favourable weather condition for advance of monsoon in nest seven days.

Prevailing meteorological conditions, large scale atmosphere features and the forecast wind pattern by dynamic models suggest that no favourable conditions are likely to develop for further advance of monsoon into remaining parts of Rajasthan, West Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and Punjab during the next seven days.

According to the India meteorological department, subdued rainfall activity is very likely to prevail over Northwest, Central and Western parts of Peninsular India during the next five days.

Under the influence of strong moist south-westerly winds are likely to pick up in strength, causing enhanced rainfall activity all along the Himalayan foothills regions of north Bihar, north Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh around 1st and 2nd July, leading to increased inflow into the rivers originating and following over these regions.

Under the influence of cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand and neighbourhood fairly widespread to widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall thunderstorms and lighting is very likely over most parts of East and adjoining central India during next 24 hours.
