Due to the low production of maize and no crop inflow for the future, there’s a shortage in the market considering the domestic and the export demand. Maize is expected to increase by $ 1,33 in Haryana-Punjab’s reach in the current month.
Makki, Khagaria, Begusarai, Darbhanga, Gulab Bagh, Samastipur, Katihar, Shivahar Supaul has reached 70 percent in the producing areas, and sowing is going on in 30 percent area. All the crops of Kharif season have already been dealt with. It started from Uttar Pradesh in September-October and is currently running in MP, Chhattisgarh, and Maharashtra. Maize has run out in the Amarwara line of Madhya Pradesh.
Competitive procurement is going on at rack points in Linga, Chhindwara line as the arrival of agricultural goods has completely ended there. There is even a shortage of maize in the warehouses and very little left in the Multai line. There are no goods in the suture line. Nagpur line is selling very expensive maize in Parate. Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh have also increased the prices.
This time the goods are not favorable even in the stock mills of Haryana, Punjab, and Gujarat. On the other hand, the Gulab Bagh-Darbhanga line of Bihar has been sold at a high price due to the demand from Madhya Pradesh and Nepal. Corn exporters have started going there. In Haryana and Punjab this week, the trade was $0,30 /0,31 per kg.
Last week, it traded below $ 0,30. Bihar’s maize will arrive by the end of April. Since the sowing was late, the wheat crop is likely to come late. Considering all these conditions – Maize should be traded openly. Traders say that, due to high prices in the international markets, domestic and export demand remains high, leading to further growth in the current month. The goods are almost running out, while the new crop will at least take two months to arrive in the markets, which will lead to a surge.
The Yellow Corn prices were recorded at $0,32 per kg FOB.
