KYIV – According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine, the volume of grain exports from Ukraine from the beginning of 2021/22 MY as of July 12, 2021, amounted to 575 thousand tons. This is 20% less than the indicator of the previous year (719 thousand tons).
Thus, since the beginning of this season, Ukraine has exported:
210 thousand tons of wheat (+32%)
18 thousand tons of barley (-90%)
3 thousand tons of rye (+1.000%)
340 thousand tons of corn (-8%)
For reference: In 2020/21 MY, the export of grain and leguminous crops amounted to 44.6 million tons:
wheat – 16.6 million tons
barley – 4.2 million tons
rye – 17.1 thousand tons
corn – 23.1 million tons.
