Dried Apricot raw material prices continue to rise every week in Türkiye. The raw material, which was distributed between 170TL and 180TL (€5,04- 5,34) in the past weeks, has reached 200TL(€5,93). Sun-dried apricot raw material reached also 300TL (€8,90). Of course, this situation also affects export prices. The fact that the weather is above seasonal norms also worries farmers. Premature budding of trees causes damage in case of frost that may occur in March.
The harvest was affected in this way in previous years as well. That’s why manufacturers do not want to sell their remaining products. When they sell, they pay high prices, and the exporter has a hard time in this situation. Manufacturers predict that after the main elections, the April 1 Euro/Dollar exchange rate will rise and raw material prices will increase further.
Planting saplings for the new season has started. New ones are being added to existing apricot orchards.
Now type 5 dried apricot FOB price ranges between 6,60 – 6,85 Eur/kg.
