Snowfalls, which started last week in Malatya, are expected to continue this week. Night frosts are also likely, meaning that all these delays bloom. But it is also stated that this situation is favorable for the apricot trees. For this reason, the raw materials are roughly at the same levels compared to last week. The export prices decreased slightly due to the depreciation of the Turkish Lira.
Market players stated that industrial products are no longer available, but on the other hand that there are plenty of natural apricots of which the prices are lower. It is added that the recession is ongoing in the markets and that the raw material prices remained between 70-75 TL/kg.
Turkey exported 60.650 mt so far, which was 61.265 mt last year during the same period. The exports of last week were with 1.721 mt apricots again less than the exports of 2.057 mt during the same week of previous year.
