Indo-Israel signed a new program of Agriculture

Taking forward the ever growing partnership in agriculture between Israel and India, the two government have agreed to enhance their cooperation in agriculture and signed a three-year work program agreement for development in Agriculture cooperation, [swpm_protected visible_to=”logged_in_users_only” custom_msg=’This content is for members only. Please login or sign up now.’] while affirming the ever growing bilateral partnership and recognizing the centrality of agriculture and water sectors in the bilateral relationship.

India and Israel are implementing the “INDO-ISRAEL Agriculture Project Centers of Excellence” and “INDO-ISRAEL Villages of Excellence”.

According to the minister of Agriculture and farmers welfare, this new work program will further strengthening the bilateral relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries in the field of agriculture for the benefit of the farming community. The COEs established under these Israel based action plans are playing an important role in doubling farmers income. The exchange of technology between India and Israel will greatly improve the productivity and quality of horticulture thereby increasing the income of farmers.

According to Dr. Ron Malka, the ambassador, the three year program (2021-2023) reflects the strength of growing partnership and will benefit local farmers both through the Centre of Excellence and the Village of Excellence.
