As of the end of November, export figures are still high despite high prices, so the market players will mean that the raw material prices will not decrease within the short future. This year, the apricots of the producing countries other than Turkey are low, which is one of the main reasons for the increase in demand. In short, they say there is no pandemic in apricots. It is stated that although some buyers have been on hold due to the exchange rate increase, they have started to buy again gradually.
Raw material prices started with a rise of 1-2 TL this week; in short, it is very close to the 60 TL levels; however, the depreciation of the Turkish Lira was around 12% compared to the previous week. Export prices decreased by 200 Usd/mt and up this week.
Turkey exported 36.604 mt so far, being 34.398 mt last year during the same period. Last week’s exports were 2104 mt apricots, which were 2343 mt during the same week of the previous year.
