Dried apricot markets are very active these days, and raw material prices have started to climb again. Prices are in the range of 65-70 TL/kg. Since the increase is higher than the Turkish Lira depreciation, there is an increase in export prices.

Exporters do not offer products that they have not in the warehouse. It is also stated that farmers are sold out and that most of the products are now in the hands of the traders or the exporters. There is still a lot of demand from abroad, but it is said that the next few weeks will be calmer due to Christmas and New Year.

Export prices increased by 200 Usd/mt and up this week. Turkey exported 39.081 mt so far, being 36.109 mt last year during the same period. Last week’s exports were 2503 mt apricots being 1710 mt during the same week of the previous year.
