Market players informed that price increases have now become almost a habit. Raw material prices are traded at 60 TL/kg meanwhile for Jumbo size apricots. Industrial and small-sized apricots are almost nill at the market, and, strange but true, increases of dried apricots continue.

Market players informed that buyers order mostly on a prompt basis but that there is also a slight increase in the demands, especially from Arabic countries.

Exporters expressed again that submitted offers are still valid daily only and subject to final approval. Export prices increased again due to more stable exchanges. Jumbo is offered at 7425 Usd/mt levels, which was 7150 Usd/mt last week, while smaller types increased once again by 100 Usd/mt compared to the previous week.

Turkey exported 28.672 mt so far, which was 25.196 mt last year during the same period. Last week’s exports were 2022 mt apricots, which was 1876 mt during the same week of the previous year.
