Market players informed that usually all of the apricot trees have bloomed in this period, but that there are not even buds this year and that cold weather and snowfalls cause delays. Further snowfalls are expected, and minus night temperatures delay this period more and more. Raw material and export prices remained the same as last week. Industrial raw material is not available anymore, so no price offers can be made. It was also added that there is little activity in the domestic market due to the approaching Ramadan. Demands from abroad are almost nill, so the recession is ongoing in the markets.

Turkey exported 61.963 mt so far, which was 62.909 mt last year during the same period. The exports of last week were with 1.282 mt apricots again less than the exports of 1.644 mt during the same week of previous year.
