Malatya: Small sized apricots are sold out in Turkey, big sized are still available which is why the prices for both are almost at same levels which was not seen before. The expectations of the farmers for the new crop are at higher levels for both conventional as well as organic dried apricots. There was also less organic raw material available of the crop 2020 which resulted in the fact that the organic raw material was already sold out within few months at the beginning of the Season. The temperatures in Malatya region decreased from over 35C to below 25C from last week to this week which could be a risk for hail damages. New crop size is ecpected to be announced during the second half of June.
