Manisa: The sales of the turkish sultana raisins were less as expected during the current Season due to higher export prices compared with the prices from other producing countries. As of April TMO announced that they will sell Sultana Raisins to exporters and traders, but exporters did not show any interest as the demands were very poor from overseas. As a result rumors are now going around that there will be a huge carry over all on the stocks from TMO and Tariş. This is why it is also spoken that the raw material prices could be reduced by these Institutions to still sell rawmaterial to exporters and Traders which respectively could be reflected to the new crop prices.

Hot temperatures with above 35C  forecasted for this week for  the Province Manisa causes concerns as this could stress the vines which could result in less raisins as it happened in May last year also.
