According to the preliminary calculations and taking into account the current and expected agrometeorological situation, the sunflower yield in 2022 is expected to be:
– close to long-term average values – in Qostanai and Pavlodar regions;
– above long-term average values – in the East Kazakhstan region.
“This forecast is preliminary, in early August a final forecast will be made taking into account meteorological conditions,” the State Meteorological Service said.
It should be recalled that there are quotas for export of sunflower seeds in Kazakhstan from July 8 to September 30, 2022: An applicant may export no more than 500 tons of sunflower seeds. The total limit is 15 thousand tons.
