The cardamom arrivals in the auctions are still getting comparatively high. Even after this, due to an increase in buying, its average auction price also increases intermittently. The strength of small cardamom is expected to continue in the coming days.
Baseless speculations
Looking at the latest level of appearances, it seems that the speculations expressed in the past about the reduction in the production of small cardamom were all baseless. However, the average auction price of small cardamom has been increasing intermittently in the auctions for some time now despite the relatively high arrivals. The average auction price was reported to have jumped due to increased buying despite comparatively higher arrivals.
Earlier, in this auction held, 43,357 kilograms of small cardamom had arrived, and its average auction price was $10,78 per kg. Small cardamom, seven and a half mm, recently gained $1,23 and is currently holding at the predetermined level of $12,92/13,53 per kg due to weak buying in the capital-based wholesale grocery market. Earlier, there was a decline of $0,31 in it.
