The arrival of coriander in the spot markets increased due to an increase in buying by investors in the futures market. Due to this, coriander could not pick up in the mandis of the producing states. In the coming days, the prospects of coriander in the spot markets are likely to remain limited.

Monsoon arrived in Rajasthan with a delay of about five-six days as compared to normal. Despite the delay in the onset of monsoon, most areas of the state have received enough rainfall so far to ensure the smooth sowing of seasonal crops. On the other hand, the arrival of coriander increased in the major mandis of the state due to the boom in the box. This is the reason that the arrival of coriander in the domestic markets increased to about two-and-a-half thousand sacks and in Ramganj Mandi, about four and a half thousand sacks were reported to have arrived. Despite the arrival being comparatively low, the price of coriander was reported to remain at the level of the previous day.
On the other hand, demand from consuming regions like South India is also said to be weak due to monsoon season. In Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan as well as in Gujarat, sales are said to be sluggish for some time now. In the coming days, the growth of coriander is expected to remain in a limited range.
