Market players informed that cold, snowy weather delayed the blooming period of apricot trees in Malatya by about three weeks, which may delay the harvest by 2-3 weeks accordingly. Weather conditions have started to improve in Malatya, and the weather is getting warmer. According to the current conditions, it is stated that if this situation progresses, a good crop can come, and the risk of frost is almost over. However, dangers are always present.

The month of Ramadan starts on April 2, and it has been reported that many businesses may even be closed from next week until the end of the Ramadan holiday one month later.


Raw material and export prices are at the same level as last week, but it is said that the expectation of a good crop may lower these levels during the following weeks. Demands are still weak.

Turkey exported 63.380 mt so far, which was 64.715 mt last year during the same period. The exports of the previous week were 1.505 mt apricots less than the exports of 1.806 mt during the same week of last year.
