As the snow melts, so do the prices in Malatya since last week. As the blooming period approaches, prices are melting, which causes a tense atmosphere in the markets. Exporters do not purchase raw materials because there is not much demand from abroad, and they have sufficient stock, while traders want to sell their goods at these levels as soon as possible.

Exporters who have excess stocks also wish to sell their products as quickly as possible; as a result, there is a slight panic atmosphere in the markets.

Market players also stated that there are too many natural products available this year on the market as a lot of growers produced natural apricots due to the high price levels of last season, but the goods were not sold much this year.

The weather conditions are still favourable in Malatya for the upcoming new growing season. The price levels of raw materials are at 80-85 TL/kg while export price offers reduced again slightly this week.

Turkey exported 54.512 mt so far, which was 53.665 mt last year during the same period. The exports of last week were 1750 mt apricots being 2090 mt during the same week of the previous year.
