As of now, there is no prospect of a slowdown in fenugreek. Demand for vegetables from Maharashtra and Karnataka will be high from July 15. In addition, the fenugreek crop in Rajasthan will be 6 percent lower than last year.

This year fenugreek will go from Madhya Pradesh to Rajasthan. So far, 200,000 kattas (50 kg per Katta) have gone to Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh. It is expected that 300,000 kattas will go to Rajasthan from Madhya Pradesh. The season in which fenugreek from Madhya Pradesh goes to Rajasthan has seen a big boom in fenugreek earlier in the season.

Fenugreek cultivation is projected to decline by 40 percent in the coming season as farmers are more attracted to planting rye, coriander, cumin, sorghum, and linseed. Farmers have reasonable prices for all these crops, and fenugreek needs more water than all these crops.

The carry-forward stock of fenugreek is estimated to be 50,000 to 100,000 kattas in the current season in the whole country. In Madhya Pradesh, 33 to 34 hundred thousand katas have been harvested. In Rajasthan and Gujarat, the harvest is eight hundred thousand katas each.

So far in the market, 85 to 90 percent of the crop has arrived in Gujarat, 80 percent in Rajasthan, and 65 percent in Madhya Pradesh. Most stockists are expected to buy the produce at the current price. As a result, the expectation for the price to drop is low.

Instead, according to market experts, the price is expected to increase by $0,06 in August and $0,13-$,in November – December.

The Fenugreek Sortex prices were recorded at $0,85 per kg FOB.
