There has been rapid growth in the garlic market in Madhya Pradesh, and the price has recently increased. The arrival of garlic is 13000 to 14000 bags. The main reason for the increase in the price of garlic is that 80% of the incoming goods are of average quality, while only 20% are of good quality.

Boom in the garlic market?

This year garlic sowing is expected to decrease by 30% in Madhya Pradesh. And due to the increase in the price of wheat and especially linseed in the current year, farmers have increased the sowing of these two crops instead of garlic. One of the reasons for the boom in the garlic market is the excellent procurement by the factory owners.

Indian garlic demand has gone towards China in the last few years, and again the demand is turning toward India due to low prices. 6000 tonnes of goods are manufactured monthly in the factory in Mahuva. The new garlic will arrive at the end of March or April. Till then, the market is expected to be good. Local and export demand will also be good in the new season, so the prices are expected to remain good throughout the year.

Excessive cold

Due to excessive cold, the quality of garlic has been affected, and the garlic market is in a bull rally, which is expected to rise further. On average, the garlic market is expected to move upwards in the coming days. The market will decline slightly and move upwards.

It is estimated that only 10 to 15% of the old stock of garlic is still lying in Madhya Pradesh. Presently, the area center where 13000 to 15000 sacks arrive will start coming down to 10000 bags in the coming days, and after that, a further decline will be seen. Thus, minor correction is likely to be witnessed in the coming days in Garlic.
