According to the Meteorological Department, the monsoon has covered the entire country six days earlier than expected. As a result, the monsoon has become active again in South India. As a result, it can affect the supply of ginger. Hence, in the coming days, there is a possibility of the ginger price strengthening.

Meteorological Department has stated the state-wise rainfall deficit levels are being reported between 8 percent and 60 percent in different states compared to expected. Monsoon also reached the capital Delhi on June 30. Due to this, the temperature has started decreasing. Even after this, the sale of dry ginger remains sluggish here. Recently there was a recession of $0,02 per kg in it.

On the other hand, about four and a half months ago, new dry ginger arrived in Kochi, Kerala. But, even after this, till now, the arrival of this major grocery commodity has not been regularized.

In Delhi, the price of ginger has increased in the local wholesale fruit vegetable market in Azadpur. Ginger is coming here only from Bangalore. Here ginger has recently been bearish by $0,04 and currently remains at $0,38 – $0,44 per kg.

On the other hand, dry ginger has remained normal at $1,63 – $1,76 Rs per kg for the past few days due to sluggish buying by stockists. In the Sagar line, the price of dry ginger was found to be around $1,77 – $1,89 per kg. There is a lethargic atmosphere in other states due to the attitude of the millers. However, ginger is expected to remain strong in the coming days.
