Poland is the largest producer,  also the second exporter of poultry meat in the EU and the fourth global exporter in the world, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development reported. Optimistic outlook

“It is estimated that the growth in the production of this type of meat in Poland in 2023 will be 1.5 percent compared to 2022. Currently, the purchase prices of poultry livestock in Poland remain high. In February 2023, the average monthly purchase price of broiler chickens was PLN 5.71/kg (Eur 1.22). In February in 2017-2022, the average monthly buying price of broiler chickens was in the range of PLN 3.18-4.57 per kg (Eur 0.68-0.98).” – It added.

According to the ministry, the dominant market for poultry meat from Poland is European Union countries. Due to the fact, it said, that only regions with avian influenza restrictions are subject to export restrictions to this market, “good export performance is maintained.”
