The oil extraction plant Floarea Soarelui (Balti), the largest producer of sunflower oil in Moldova, has reduced the price of sunflower oil since March 27.
The new base price (factory selling price including VAT) for a 955 ml bottle of FLORIS oil is 24.6 lei (1,23 Eur) from March 27 instead of the previous price of 29.1 lei (1,46 Eur).
As explained by the company Trans-Oil Group this decision was made taking into account the observed decline in world prices for oilseeds and vegetable oils.
“This trend is also observed in the Moldovan market, which is part of the regional and global market. In this context, taking into account the current prices for agricultural products in Moldova, as well as the desire of the Trans-Oil Group to be a socially oriented business, the Floarea Soarelui Oil Extraction Plant announced a corresponding reduction in the selling price of FLORIS deodorized refined oil intended for the domestic market of Moldova,” emphasized in the company.
Trans-Oil Group also added that it will continue to monitor market developments and, depending on the purchase price of raw materials, will promptly respond to them with “strict adjustments”.
