In season 2023/24, for the first time in all the years of independence, Ukraine processed 1 million tons of rapeseeds. This is 23.3% of the total harvest of Ukrainian oilseeds in 2023
The record indicator was achieved, despite the fact that rapeseed in Ukraine is considered mainly export-oriented agricultural raw materials.
It should be noted that the export of Ukrainian rapeseed oil in July-March 2023/24 reached a record mark of 400 thousand tons. Ukrainian rapeseed oil confidently enters the markets of China, EU countries, Malaysia, Singapore and other countries of the world. Rapeseed meal export showed positive dynamics as well.
Stocks of rapeseeds in Ukraine are already finishing as the new crop is expected in next two months. Purchasing prices in Odesa ports remained on the same level of 370-380 USD/T or 348-357 EURO/T CPT. But offers are very limited.
