Odesa – Many Ukrainian agrarians in the South of the country are finishing early grains harvesting and switch to niche products. Already oats new crop 2021 appear on the market. This year Ukraine has sown 195 thousand hectares, and the total yield forecast is over 600 thousand tons.
Despite the start of oats harvesting, prices in Ukraine are not changing yet. Purchase prices in main ports remain on the level 180 $/t. Such prices freeze can be explained by low export interest. Also, the recent wheat and barley price increase give hope to agrarians that oats prices will also go up.
