ODESA: In Ukraine, purchase prices for rapeseed increased from 13,500-14,500 UAH /t to 14,500-15,000 UAH/t in the western regions and to 15,500-16,000 UAH/t or 450-460 $/t with delivery to the ports of Odessa and Chernomorsk. But export demand prices for August deliveries of domestic rapeseed to Poland, Romania and Bulgaria fell to 570-600 $/t.
Increased supply of new crop rapeseed amid the approaching harvest in Canada adds pressure on Ukrainian rapeseed prices. Also local prices are much dependable on the Grain Corridor continuous work. The smallest problems in Ukrainian ports will put even more pressure on local prices.
Forecast of world rapeseeds production increased by 2.25 million tons to 82.48 million tons (72.3 million tons in MY 2021/22). But Ukraine has possibility to increase exports due to increased demand from the EU, which is the main world importer of rapeseed.
