Washington, December 16 news: The weekly export sales report of the US Department of Agriculture shows that the total soybean export sales of the United States to China (mainland) decreased by 28.8% year on year. The previous week was a year-on-year decrease of 29.9%. As of December 9, 2021, the soybean export shipments from the United States to China (Mainland China) for the 2021/22 fiscal year (starting on September 1) were 1,559 tons, compared with 21.63 million tons in the same period last year. The US shipped 10.47 million tons of soybeans to China that week, and 1.47 million tons of soybeans were shipped to China the previous week.
So far, the number of soybeans sold by the United States to China but not shipped is 5.64 million tons, lower than the 7.94 million tons in the same period last year. So far in 2021/22, the total sales of soybeans from the United States to China (sales that have been shipped and not yet shipped) are 22.27 million tons, a year-on-year decrease of 28.8%. Last week, it was a year-on-year decrease of 29.9%, and two weeks ago, a year-on-year decrease of 31.3 %. The US Department of Agriculture’s December 2021 supply and demand report predicts that China’s soybean imports in 2021/22 are expected to be 100 million tons, which is the same as the November forecast, an increase of 0.24% from the previous year’s 99.76 million tons.
