The celery prices in Jawarah, Kurnool, including the Jamnagar-Nandurbar line, have continuously increased within a week due to decreased production and diversion of Pakistani goods. Thus, there are chances of further increment in Celery.

Current Scenario

Presently, the Jaora line’s celery has increased from $1,81/1,93 to $1,99/2,05 per kg. Celery from Nandurbar and Jamnagar lines is being sold for up to $2,24/2,42. It is worth mentioning that centuries ago, washed goods were being sold in Delhi between $1.45 and $1,57 per kg. Currently, it does not seem to cost less than $2.05 to order goods from the producer markets. The celery crop that has come at present is being said to be weak all around. Conversely, ayurvedic companies also buy more of the Javra line as they cannot procure celery from Nandurbar and Jamnagar.

Future Scenario

The medium-quality celery has been dealt with, and the good-quality celery in the domestic shops seems to be costlier than before, due to which there is absolutely no scope to decrement. Further, the markets can intensify as soon as the demand emerges. It is mainly produced in the border areas of Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, and Maharashtra. Additionally, celery in the border areas of Pakistan and Gujarat is of average quality; thus, these goods are sold at a meager price.

The stockists cut off the old goods for the whole year before incurring losses, and there is news of a 22-25% reduction in average production in the areas. Considering all these circumstances, celery is likely to see a bullish rally, according to market veterans.

The Celery seeds 99 purity prices were Recorded at $1,50 per kg FOB.
